I personally think expensive gifts don’t equal love. Some people believe that if they go out and spend lots of money on gifts, it shows their love. Wrong! Money and gifts do not necessarily show love but caring, trust, romance, friendship and understanding does. Love is action – a simple act of caring for each other’s happiness. So whether you feel like your neighbour would probably like anything here in terms of gifts, or something homemade is the route you’re considering, getting someone a gift doesn’t have to break the bank. At the end of the day, it is the thought that counts, regardless of who the gift is for.
And here are different ways that describe love apart from buying expensive gifts for your love.
The Peanuts series by Charles M. Schulz has been one of the most beloved cartoons of all time. It has been capturing the great, tender truths of human existence through remarkably simple, sometimes poetic, often humorous, always profound vignettes. Love is Walking Hand In Hand — an utterly lovely tiny treasure in which Lucy and Snoopy and Charlie Brown and the rest of the Peanuts gang define love through the simple acts and moments of everyday life.
So here we go…….
‘Love is buying someone a present with your own money.’
Just a little ‘present’ for you, who taught me the meaning of the word this little book is about – Love.
I shall always love you more than yesterday but – less than tomorrow.
