Score shoot-out!

Incidents like these happen every now and then! After all, Jessica Lal incident wasn’t that long time back.

Three people, including a woman, were injured when a man opened indiscriminate fire at terrified club-goers outside Score discotheque in Sector 8, Chandigarh, in the wee hours of Monday. Reason: the bartender refused to serve them drinks and the security asked them to leave when they lit up cigarettes.

Khurki has the CCTV footage showing the clubbers first watching the four men leave the premises but then rushing inside the nightclub when firing began. The accused have been identified as residents of Punjab’s Tarn Taran district, but are yet to be arrested.

WATCH:

In his police complaint, Score’s security head Surjeet said the four men, all first-timers at the club, had drinks worth Rs 6,000: “They demanded more drinks at 2 am. The bar had closed and bartender refused to give them any. The four of then started to smoke and were asked to leave. When they did not, I and three other bouncers took them out and we entered into a scuffle with them”.

”At around 2.10 am, the four went towards the parking area and allegedly began quarreling with Surjeet. Their car was parked on the left side of the club’s parking area but they could not find their keys. One of them allegedly broke the window of the car, pulled a gun from inside, aimed it at the crowd in the corridor outside Score and allegedly began firing indiscriminately.”

A case of attempt to murder and relevant sections of the Arms Act has been registered.
