1. Shalimar Bagh
It is the largest garden that dates back to the Mughal era in India. It has the Dal lake in the Northeast, in the background. The best time to visit is in the spring and autumn.
2. Nishat Bagh
The first thing that you will notice in this garden will be the beautiful terraces. The name literally means the Garden of Gladness or Happiness. This garden too is located on the bank of Dal Lake and it has the majestic Zabarwan Mountains in the background.
A trip to Anantnag is incomplete if you do not visit this garden. It is said that the garden was a favourite among the prince and princesses of yesteryear.
4. Chashma Shahi
The garden is named after a spring that flows right through it. It is located in the Zabarwan Mountains and impresses one and all with its pools of clear water, the flowing water of the spring and beautiful terraces.
5. Pari Mahal
This beautiful garden has seven terraces and overlooks the entire city of Srinagar. It is located at the top of Zabarwan mountains and its beauty needs to be seen to be believed.
6. Verinag Garden
When you start your journey in the Kashmir valley you will first reach these gardens. They welcome all weary travellers with their beauty and peace.
