It is the age of communication and high speed correspondence. We are way ahead of the telephone and mobile generation; we are the “video chat” generation! In this age, relationships are becoming more and more fragile, or are they being strengthened? Gone are the days of off-shore love-letters and long waits. It’s 2016 – if you are together, you are bound to hang out more often. But how are LDR (read Long Distance Relationships) faring in this mayhem, let’s find:

5 You are a rare species

If in today’s age, you are in a LDR; believe us, you are a rare species! The next-gen is giving up the idea of staying away from their beloved and you are among the few keeping the hopes alive for others. #somuchforlove

4 You need GUTS…lot of them!

If you stay away from your loved one, you have guts of steel! Because everywhere you look, you see couples all cozied up, hanging out together. Even 14 year olds are hitched!! You feel sick of the PDA (read Public Display of Affection) people indulge in and yet you survive. *Kudos*

3 You live in a Fantasyland

Amidst all the chaos of the buzzing metropolitan or the loneliness of your village, there a private place that you have in your mind. You “zone out” almost every day and you live in that fantasyland along with your beloved. You imagine hell lot of things!

2 Technology, your savior

When you are miles away from your love, you only survive on the kind offerings of technology. You and only you mean the true meaning of “video-chat”. Thank you Skype; may the peace of the Lord be upon its creators!

1 You gift yourself!

One of the worst forms of LDRs is when you two are in two separate nations and different time zones. You can’t even exchange gifts on special occasions. So, you buy gifts for your own self and share pictures! *Cute*

Our Verdict: It is now believed that LDR is one of the purest forms of true love in the present day and our heart goes out to the people involved.
