The HTC One A9 is built around a 5″ AMOLED screen of 1080p resolution and is the first to run on the Snapdragon 617 chip. The SoC employs an octa-core processor with four Cortex-A53 cores at 1.5GHz and another four A53 ticking at 1.2GHz, Adreno 405 GPU and 2 or 3 GB of RAM depending on the version.

After the launch of their disappointing model HTC One M9, here’s one phone that looks promising. HTC One A9 launches the first week of November in Opal Silver, Carbon Grey, Deep Garnet and Topaz Gold.

The smartphone sports an all-metal body. The subtle curve spanning the rear of the phone is replaced by a flat back that’s punctuated only by a pair of antenna lines, a circular two-tone flash, and a slightly protruding camera module.

The resemblance to the iPhone is only extended once you pick up the One A9, which feels for all the world like the middle child between the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.

HTC One A9 comes with either 16 or 32GB of storage, expandable via a microSD slot. LTE connectivity is naturally supported, while a new high-power DAC promise unmatched audio experience.

Connectivity options include 4G LTE, 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and Micro-USB. The company listing confirms that the HTC One A9 supports Indian LTE bands.

Other notable features include fingerprint sensor, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, gyro, and magnetic sensor.

HTC One A9 is powered by a 2,150 mAh battery, which supports Quick Charge 2.0 (and 3.0), though you’ll have to buy a proper 15W HTC charger if you want to charge your battery lightning fast.

HTC will be offering a compatible Dot View II case for the One A9 with enhanced gesture controls, plus you can opt for HTC Pro Studio In-Ear headphones for the best BoomSound experience.

The HTC One A9 will go on sale starting November and has been priced at $399.99 (approximately Rs. 26,000) for the unlocked version. There’s no word yet on India price and availability. US pre-orders for the HTC One A9 kicked off Tuesday via the company’s online store.
