Kullu Administration all set for Dussehra festival

Kullu, Sep 27: The administration is geared up for the week-long Dasehra festival which will kick start on September 30 and continue up to October 6 at the Dhalpur ground.District Magistrate Yunus Khan today directed that Section 144 will be imposed in Kullu-Manali and Bhunter from September 28 up to October 20 in view of the security concern when influx of tourists remains heavy. These orders will not be applicable on police, Army, the SSB and the ITBP.

All panchayat representatives have been asked to alert people and inform the police if they notice any suspicious person in their area during that period.To maintain smooth traffic during the event, no parking zones have been identified and people will be asked to park their vehicles in allotted areas only.

The parking place has been earmarked at forest ground near OLS, Monal Café, college ground, vegetable market, Akhara Bazzar, Akhara Bazar Tapu Bridge, Vipasha market, Sarvari bank side market, front of HTRC bus stand near Nest hotel, DAV school Mohal and Police line Kullu. Group dance Kullu Natti will be dedicated to girl child.

The DC stated that on October 1 a group dance Kullu Natti will be organized to lead the message of ‘save and educate girl child’, in which a large number of women are expected to join the event.He said that the district administration had made adequate arrangements for active participation of women in which Bollywood actress Deepti Naval will take participation.
