Shimla May, 16: Rain with storm brought the temperature down in the valley today providing a relief from the scorching heat.
The sky was overcast in the afternoon and it started raining heavily leaving normal life disturbed.
People, mostly schoolchildren, were seen drenched and rushing to take shelter. The day turned dark and vehicles had to move with headlights on in the town.
The Met Department had predicted rain and thunder showers at a few places for the two days in the plains and mid hills.
Reports of rains were also received from different parts of the valley.
