Shimla, Oct 4: The Central Bureau of Investigation has conducted narco-analysis and lie-detector tests on the suspects in the alleged gang-rape and murder case of a 16-year-old girl at Kotkhai in Himachal Pradesh’s Shimla district.

The Himachal Pradesh police had earlier arrested Ashish Chauhan, Rajender Singh, Subash Singh Bisht and Deepak, besides Nepalese nationals Lok Jung and Suraj Singh. Suraj was later found murdered in the police lock-up.

A separate case has been registered by the CBI in this regard.

Sources said the tests have been carried out after getting a nod from the competent court in Shimla. Results of these tests are not admissible in court as evidence.

However, they may provide crucial leads to the agency.

As directed by the Himachal Pradesh HC, the CBI has registered two cases, including one related to the custodial death of Suraj.

The rape case had created furore in the State which goes to the polls later this year.
