Bibi Ka Maqbara

The Bibi Ka Maqbara was the largest structure that he had to his credit. The comparison to the Taj Mahal has often obscured its very own considerable charm. Due to the strong resemblance, it is also called the Dakkhani Taj (Taj of the Deccan). The Bibi Ka Maqbara is the principal monument of Aurangabad and its historic city. An inscription found on the main entrance door mentions that this mausoleum was designed and erected by Ata-ullah, an architect and Hanspat Rai, an engineer respectively. Ata-ullah was the son of Ustad Ahmad Lahauri, the principal designer of the Taj Mahal.

Taj Mahal, Bangladesh

Continuing with Taj Mahal, Ahsanullah Moni, a wealthy filmaker from Bangladesh, announced his copycat version of Taj Mahal in 2008. But the construction irritated the Indian officials. Indian High Commission later announced that the replica was unlikely to detract visitors from the original. On that Mr Moni stated his homage had been built because most people living in Bangladesh – where nearly half of the population exist below the poverty line – cannot afford to travel to India to see the real thing. Everyone dreams about seeing the Taj Mahal but very few Bangladeshis can make the trip because it’s too expensive for them.

Raj Mohan Nair (aka Current Mohan)

Raj Mohan Nair is a human conductor. He is a super human in India. There’s nothing super-human about his looks, but connected to an electrical power source, Raj Mohan Nair can do extraordinary things by allowing massive amount of current to pass through his body. He might not seem like a superhero worthy of his own comic book, but it’s a lot more than the rest of us mortals can withstand. If these wires touched any other human’s body, the electricity would cause their organs to fail and stop their heart, but not Mohan’s. With one wire in his mouth for better conductivity and the other anywhere else on his body, Mohan lets the electrical current run through him and into whatever other device he’s trying to power on.

Madanapalle and the National Anthem

Everybody knows that Rabindranath Tagore wrote our national anthem but I don’t think many people know the story of its composition. Gurudev Tagore translated Jana Gana Mana to English and had even composed the tune for it way back in 1911. However, the tune in which we sing it today was set by an Irish-Indian woman, Margaret Elizabeth Cousins at Madanapalle, a small town in present day Andhra Pradesh in 1919.

Dumped Nestle Maggi can help us travel to moon 10X

Shocked?? According to India real time’s estimate, if we boil one packet of Maggi and join all the noodles end to end, it is estimated noodles would measure more than 65 feet. So, if we join the 400 million packets of Maggi noodles dumped due to the controversy over its lead content, it would mean the total length of all the noodles NestlĂ© when joined is almost five million miles. That’s 200 times around the Earth or 10 round trips to the moon.
