Shimla rape-murder case: CBI finds gaps in police probe

Shimla, Aug 3: The premier probe agency Central Burerau of Investigation (CBI) team has found gaps in police investigations and raised doubts over the custodial death of Suraj, who was killed on July 18 in the Kotkhai police station.

The CBI reportedly picked up three persons, including a woman, for destroying the evidence yesterday and sources said one of them was the same whose picture was uploaded on the Facebook page of the Chief Minister as suspect. However the CBI denied any arrest or detention.Following the directions of the Himachal Pradesh High Court to complete investigations in two weeks, the CBI is under pressure to solve the case at the earliest.
