Posting upcoming events online can also pose as a threat to people sometimes ‘coz who knows who is planning what, at the event..!!
Here is the case of Parichart Sa-ard-iem, a 38-year-old woman who reportedly boarded a plane to steal in Bangkok after researching for targeted events online.
Fortunately, she got arrested at a graduation ceremony. A native of Songkhla’s Muang, she was arrested at the compound of Chulalongkorn University’s Faculty of Science shortly after stealing.
A stolen handbag containing an iPhone and nearly 2500 baht was recovered. She confessed her theft and elaborated the incident too. The handbag belonged to a female university student.
Parichart also told the police that she was jobless which lead her to this crime, basically to finance her personal expenses. The police records, however, show that she has been a regular thief and has done this at least 10 times before.
She used to search for online information regarding major events from where the Chulalongkorn University graduation ceremony came to her notice.
Bus phir kya tha…madam ne plane pakda aur nikal padi hath maarney…Songkhla to Don Mueang was her flight and then she checked into a sasta hotel near Hua Lamphong railway station. She wanted to go back by a flight too but got arrested.
A criminal record showed Parichart had been held responsible for a series of thefts in Bangkok, Pathum Thani and Songkhla’s Hat Yai district.
