Neerja is the courageous story of a 23-year-old girl – an air hostess – who gave up her life while saving passengers from terrorists on board hijacked Pan Am Flight 73 on 5th September, 1986. The film is directed by Ram Madhvani and will be in theatres on 19th February.
It goes to the credit of the director that in the age of big budget films, Neerja has been made in Rs 21 crore, including marketing costs. The producer of the forthcoming film is glad that things “turned out pretty well” without compromising on the quality of the content.
