iPhone 14 is here! Khurki gets you the specs…

On September 7, Apple will announce the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Max, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. Potentially, Apple is also expected to launch Apple Watch 8, Apple Watch 8 Pro, Apple Watch SE 2, and the AirPods Pro 2.

But pre-release guesses refer to the probability of Apple not releasing the premium big sized ‘Max’ version in iPhone 14. Instead, the company’s first 6.7-inch sub-$1000 smartphone will be called the ‘iPhone 14 Plus’.

Leaked images being shared across indicate that the iPhone 14 Pro’s lock screen, complete with a number of features we have already heard about. The screens are also likely to include a returned battery indicator, adding a percentage level to the existing battery icon. So, the user will no longer have to keep guessing the battery level or to pull down the Control Centre.

iPhone 14 to offer battery display changes

Rumour has it that iPhone 14 is likely to have the full battery info with percentage and icon to the far right and the location symbol next to it. The left side will carry the network signal and the carrier information.

About the cameras, Apple has been making major changes to its rear cameras over the years, but it has not been able to focus on the front cameras. That may no longer be the case this year. If the notch goes away, iPhone 14’s front shooter may alter visually with the addition of cutouts. But there’s also chatter about the camera system itself receiving a noteworthy upgrade functionally.

That said, there’s going to be something for the existing Apple users too. With the launch of a new iPhone, iOS updates can’t be far behind. And, if the past can be a precursor to Apple’s norm, iOS 16 version will almost certainly arrive after the event but a few days before the new iPhone goes on sale.
