Manohar Dhiman is the Indora MLA. He is an Independent candidate. He is son of Shri Karam Chand. He was born on 24 February 1960 at Village Changrara, Tehsil Indora, Distt. Kangra. He is married to Smt. Anita Kumari.
Constituency Represented
Indora is a bank of river Beas and a town and tehsil head office under district Kangra in the state. It is surrounded by many farm houses especially of wheat and rice. With orchards of mangoes, guava, oranges and lychee are surrounding it. Indora and Indpur are famous for these fruits all over India. Indora is very famous because of its educational institutes. The oldest is Govt. Degree College, Indora, that offers many different kind of programs. The Arni University is also very famous and offers engineering, management and Ph.D programs. If we talk about schools, Indora has Lotus Public School, Pratap World School and many others. Tehsil Indora is becoming the educational hub of Himachal Pradesh and attracting students from other states. Indora is also famous for Katoch clan, which is the oldest surviving royal clan in the world.
Political Standing
Manohar Dhiman was elected as MLA from this Vidhan Sabha seat in the elections held in 2012. He won by a margin of 7369 votes. Kamal Kishor of Bharatiya Janata Party was the trailing candidate.
