Shimla, Aug 10: At least 20 women were injured as a house collapsed while they were condoling a death in a family at Sudhed village of Kangra district in Himachal Pradesh. A portion of the house where all females were sitting collapsed leaving all of them injured; seven out of them were serious. The portion which collapsed was a mud structure. Therefore, no loss of life was reported. When it comes to the structure of a house, it is important to ensure that it is in good condition. With this being said, not everyone is going to know how to identify a sinking house, which is why checking out an article like is my house sinking guide on Buildfix could be beneficial. The more people know, the easier it should be to identify if your home has foundational problems.

If you’ve been involved in an accident that has caused you to be injured, then it might be a good idea to get a lawyer involved, particularly if it wasn’t your fault. If you aren’t sure about who to use then you could always check out someone like this Personal Injury Lawyer Dallas TX here.

The house which collapsed belongs to a Vinod Kumar and villagers had gathered at his home to console the death of his family member.

No male member was injured in this incident. As chief minister Virbhadra Singh is on a tour to this area, the officials were busy and failed to turn up in time which peeved the villagers. Victims rued that for two hours, none of the officials came to attend the injured. All the females were shifted to the civil hospital in the town.

Confirming the incident, Shravan Manta, sub-divisional magistrate, said that out of total 20 females, seven received serious injuries, but not fatal. “All the females were injured who were consoling the bereaved family. They were shifted to local hospital and treatment was under way,” he said. It was the inner portion of the house which collapsed and all females were sitting inside the building.

The administration paid Rs 90,000 as relief to all the victims out of which 10,000 was paid to the house owner.

Dharamshala is the wettest region of Himachal Pradesh and due to consistent rains for the last some days, the mud structures here had weakened even as roads are sinking. There is a massive loss of property due to flash floods in the region.
