Centre released crores for highways: Shanta Kumar

Shimla, June 28: The Parivartan Rath Yatra of the BJP was started from Sarabai and proceeded to Bhuntar, Manikaran and then arrived at Dhalpur. During a public gathering at Bhuntar, Kangra MP and former Chief Minister Shanta Kumar said not even a single case of corruption had come to the fore during the BJP regime under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

He said the Centre had provided crores of rupees for developing 61 national highways in the state. He said the persons associated with the tourism industry would be benefited from the Bhanupali-Leh rail line through Kullu and Manali. He said helicopter services would be started to promote tourism after the BJP came to power.

He claimed that there was the BJP government in 13 states and the BJP would form a majority government in three more states during the coming Assembly elections. Earlier, addressing media persons at Sarabai, he alleged that all development projects had come to a standstill during the Congress regime.

He said it was for the first time in history of the country that a Chief Minister was running the government after seeking bail from court in various corruption cases against him. He said the BJP would achieve a comprehensive victory in the elections and various development tasks would be done with the assistance of the Central Government.
