Independent, Indora MLA joins Bhartiya Janta Party

Shimla, June 30: Independent MLA from Indora Manohar Dhiman joined the BJP in the presence of Union Minister for Health JP Nadda at a rally in Jawali this evening. Manohar Dhiman was also an associate member of the Congress Legislative Party in the Himachal Assembly.

Manohar Dhiman had contested as Independent from Indora after being denied ticket by the BJP. The speculation was rife for quite some time regarding Manohar Dhiman joining the BJP for the past few months.

Some of the BJP leaders had been facilitating the meeting of Manohar Dhiman with Nadda.

The news of Manohar Dhiman joining the BJP came as surprise for many Congress leaders in the district. There were two independent MLAs Manohar Dhiman and Pawan Kajal from Kangra who had become the associate members of the Congress. Both MLAs were BJP rebels.

Manohar Dhiman termed his joining the BJP as homecoming. Nadda said many leaders wanted to join the BJP as they were fed up with corruption in the Congress government in the state.

Now it remains to be seen if Pawan Kajal, Independent MLA from Kangra, also takes a call on joining his parent party.
