Shimla, July 18: Struggling to cope up with infighting within the Congress, it is expected that Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh will instil unity among party workers during his three-day Mandi tour starting from July 18.During the tour, he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stones of various schemes in Sundernagar, Nachan, Sadar, Drang and Jogindernagar.

He will address public rallies at different constituencies. After Kangra, Mandi plays a significant role with total 10 seats. However, party workers are divided in the district. One group owes allegiance to Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh, second to Health Minister Kaul Singh Thakur, while the third faction is staunch supporter of Rural Development Minister Anil Sharma.

Political relationship between the Health Minister and the CM remained a bit sour in the past because Kaul Singh was considered the arch rival of Virbhadra for CM’s post. However, this time Kaul Singh is singing paeans of the CM saying he will win for the seventh time. To get political mileage from the CM’s tour, Kaul Singh has decided to organise a massive rally at Padhar, where Virbhadra will address a public rally.
