Himachal Will Get Due Share In BBMB Projects: Virbhadra

Shimla May, 19: Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh said that the Supreme Court had legitimized the demand of the state of 7.19 per cent share in the BBMB projects and the government welcomed the decision. While talking to media on Thrusday, Virbhadra said in pursuance of the SC order the government had taken up the issue at the North Zonal Council meet in Chandigarh effectively.

He said that leaders of opposition were issuing wrong and misleading statement of that government did not stake its claim effectively. Speaking on the demand of Staff Selection Commission for extension of time for completing the selections on the posts which were on the final stage, the Chief Minister said that the SSC had been given two months time extension to complete the process. The SSC had been directed to complete the selection by July 31 on the old pattern of interviews, which were fixed to May 31 earlier.

He said that further selection would be on merit after clearing the backlog by the SSC. The Chief Minister said besides other development works, the Congress government established five civil sub divisions and installed first state-of-the-art water supply scheme for the district. He said that those who say that Hamirpur was being ignored had lost their mental stability and were looking for survival.

Later, addressing a public meeting at Biar in Badsar Constituency the Chief Minister announced up-gradation of the Community Health Centre, Badsar, to Civil Hospital with 100-bed facility and opening of fire brigade station at Bijhari. He also announced starting of post-graduate classes for english and history in government degree college, Badsar, and also M Com classes in the college. Earlier, the Chief Minister laid the foundation stone of 20-bed ayurvedic hospital building at Hamirpur.
