Punjabi singer-cum-actor Harbhajan Mann, who has all his life focused on Punjab, Punjabi and Punjabiyat through his songs and films, is back! But this time for a Bollywood flick. But how can anyone question this? The song ‘Ghaint Fan’ is in Punjabi and has been sung for King Khan starrer Fan.
Ye that’s right. The song “Jabra Fan” has been recorded in five more languages besides Hindi – in Bengali, Bhojpuri, Gujarati, Marathi and Punjabi. While the Bengali version has been sung by Anupam Roy of Piku fame, Manoj Tiwari has lent vocals to the Bhojpuri track and the Punjabi song is in Harbhajan Mann’s voice.
A veteran now, Mann always considered as the heart of Punjab. His top hits have given him worldwide admiration and ‘Ghaint Fan’ is going to be another hit and will help Harbhajan Mann to create big bond with Bollywood music industry.
Yash ji, no one has shown the purity of Punjabi culture like you did. This one’s for you. I’m your eternal fan!

The idea of making versions of the Fan anthem in so many languages is just awesome and obviously being a Punjabi, I am biased as I personally liked the Punjabi version 😉
Music director Shekhar told PTI that why they made Jabra Fan versions: “It is a marketing idea for the movie by Yash Raj Films. I think it is a phenomenal idea that the song goes across in different languages. The stars of those languages are singing the versions. This is beautiful and has given a new definition to the song.”
