This was evident from the public reaction to his recent visits to Arunachal Pradesh and the US, said Kashag (cabinet of Tibetan government-in-exile) in a statement released here on Thursday. The programme was presided over by senior leader of the BJP and former minister Kishan Kapoor. The Kashag expresses concern over the deteriorating health of Chinese Nobel Peace Laureate Liu Xiaobo and urges the Chinese government to immediately grant Liu Xiaobo and his family permission to travel abroad for treatment.

The Kashag urged the Chinese government to recognize the Dalai Lama as the solution to resolve the Tibet issue and make use of his lifetime as an opportunity to immediately resume dialogue with the envoys of the Dalai Lama. The Kashag reiterates its commitment to middle way approach as the mutually beneficial solution to resolving the long-standing issue of Tibet, the statement said.
