Coconut And Cashew Festival: It’s Happening In Goa, Where Else!

The festival began on 29th April and will go on till the 3rd at the D. B. Bandodkar Grounds, Campal, Panaji-Goa. The coconut and cashew festival is focused at drawing attention to the health and medicinal benefits of cashew and coconut.

The Chief Minister of Goa Shri Laxmikant Parsekar inaugurated the festival, and all dignitaries present were presented with coconut and cashew saplings.

The administration has made extravagant arrangements and is expecting tourists in a large numbers due to the long weekend.

The event promises to be a cultural extravaganza. Tourists will also get an opportunity to sign up for tree climbing workshops, demos on distillation of Feni and other interesting activities.

So if you are in Goa, the festival should be high up on your must-do list.

While you are there do pick up a bottle of ‘Lembranca’ by Madame Rosa Distillery, which has the only drink label designed by the late Mario Miranda.
