It’s been more than 10 years since our last appointment at Calvin’s Barbershop. Calvin (Ice Cube) and his longtime crew, including Eddie (Cedric the Entertainer), are still there, but the shop has undergone some major changes.

This sequel features Cube, Cedric the Entertainer, Anthony Anderson, Tyga, Eve, Common, Nicki Minaj and more.
In this one, the shop is one-part barbershop, one-part salon; Calvin (Ice) and Angie (Hall) had to combine their resources to keep both of their businesses afloat. In the midst of it all is Nicki Minaj.

The real focus of the movie is about the changing neighbourhood around the barbershop and how it’s becoming more violent as Calvin’s son gets older. Both shops must band together to make a change for the better.
But, of course, the war on crime is full of laughs, affectionate barbs and at least one ridiculous haircut designed to teach the kids not to talk back to their moms.
